Durante el mes de Mayo se realizó otra exposición colectiva cerca de mi ciudad, en nueva cuenta a manos de Creativos Monterrey y Tributorama. Ahora la temática era Pokemon por el estreno de Detective Pikachu. Elegí a Rayquaza porque me gustan mucho los tipo Dragón y porque en ese tiempo estaba escuchando mucho a Nujabes (y muy inspirado por uno de mis animes favoritos "Samurai Champloo"), por lo que pensé en hacer una ilustración tipo Ukyo-e. En esta ocasión realicé el dibujo a mano en gran formato junto con las tintas, y luego le agregué color y texturas de forma digital. Estoy considerando en un futuro mandar a hacer unas réplicas en serigrafía del arte final. Por desgracia, esta vez no pude asistir a ver la obra impresa, pero en la galería de Creativos Monterrey (https://www.facebook.com/creativosmonterrey/?ref=br_tf&epa=SEARCH_BOX) pueden buscar las fotos de la expo. Sobra decir que me quedé muy satisfecho con el resultado.

During the month of May, another collective expo was made like the last one, near my city again, by Creativos Monterrey and Tributorama. Now the topic was Pokemon, inspired by the release of Detective Pikachu's movie. I choose Rayquaza because I like a lot the dragon type in the games, specially this one, in it's normal or Mega form, and because I was listening a lot of Nujabes (and in love with "Samurai Champloo" since before) those days, so I wanted to make something with the Ukyo-e art style. This time I made the drawing and the inking in big format organically in paper... a really big one, like tabloid, for the first time in a long period. After that, I gave It some color and texture with Photoshop. I'm really thinking about getting made some prints of the final art with serigraphy.
